Who writes the lines?

et round start writes the next lines for a page. Claude writes the lines: Claude Opus reads the page, Claude Sonnet writes each challenger, and a second Claude Sonnet pass checks every line against your brief. While Endless Testing is in early access, these steps run on the owner’s Codex subscription. You do not set an AI key.

The line already on the page is the control. Each new line is a challenger. A challenger has isControl false. The control has isControl true.

<site> is the host (example.com) or the site id from et sites.

  • et round start <site> [--url <page>] starts a round. Claude writes the challenger lines. --url sets the page. Without --url, the site host is the page.
  • et status <site> shows what is live: tests, challengers, and the round. The JSON has a live array of tests whose status is running, paused, or completed. Each item has variants. A challenger has "control": false. The control variant has "control": true. control is the isControl flag.

et status prints JSON. In live, a challenger in variants has "control": false, and the control variant has "control": true. To tell whether a page is serving a round, see Is a round live?. The full list is on Commands.
